Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) uses a small sample of your own blood to create a concentrated serum of platelets, which is reintroduced into the skin to help repair damaged tissue. It's a safe, effective way to reduce the appearance of acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles.
Plasma is part of your blood — water and proteins that let your red and white blood cells circulate. Platelets are key to your body's natural healing, carrying growth factors that repair injury and damaged tissue. PRP concentrates those growth factors well beyond their natural level, so they can be reinjected or microneedled into the areas you want to treat.
Because PRP uses your own plasma, the risks are minimal — you can't be allergic to your own blood.

- Choose whether you'd like music or a silent, relaxing treatment.
- Numbing cream is applied for your comfort.
- We take and prepare your blood, separating the platelet-rich plasma.
- We cleanse and tone your skin, ready for the plasma.
- Your plasma is microneedled into the skin to rejuvenate and boost collagen.
Before & after your treatment
What to expect
Your blood is drawn, usually from your arm or hand, prepared for you, then reintroduced into the areas being treated — by injection or microneedling. We start by cleansing your skin; your blood is spun in a centrifuge to separate the plasma-rich layers, which are then re-applied. Afterwards you may notice redness or tenderness at the treated points, which settles over the next day or two.
How to prepare
- Avoid corticosteroid medication for 2–3 weeks before the procedure.
- Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, arthritis or steroid medication — always check with your GP before stopping any prescribed medication.
- Drink plenty of water before your treatment.
Who shouldn't have PRP
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Skin infections in the treatment area.
- A medical condition that could spread infection.
- Any bleeding issue or blood disorder.
- Anaemia.
